Getting Hammered....

Sarah Palin is getting HAMMERED right now - not from alcohol, but from the liberal media. Everywhere I read, someone is going after her like sharks in the pool of blood. Lawyers have been flown in to Alaska to start digging - for DIRT - something they can dig up to nail her to the wall. Why? Because they don't like what she STANDS FOR!

She has energized the Republican party and has actually even made ME get a lot more excited about the upcoming election. She's got my vote for sure!!!

I'm sure glad I decided to be a "pastor" so I'd never get hammered!!!

VOTE LIFE...

I made a decision years ago to NEVER knowingly vote for a pro-choice candidate - if both parties are pro-choice, I will not vote. I'm glad that in a few months we will have a clear choice on this issue. I will vote for LIFE!!!

This morning I attended a pastor's pro-life breakfast in downtown Greenville. Lisa Van Ryper spoke along with a lady from France who had experienced two abortions. I was riveted to my seat during her amazing story of heartbreak and loss to grace and forgiveness. I wanted to jump up on my chair and cheer for this woman for her boldness to tell this amazing story.

When we end our current sermon series on family, marriage, children, etc... I now believe we should take the next Sunday and remember children who will never know the joy of a family - children with no voice for justice, unborn children who will never see the light of day. I want our church to pray and fast  when churches all across the nation join together this fall for "40 days for Life"... We can all surely pray and fast about this crucial issue in our society. I'm going to invite the French lady and tell her story to our church family... You WILL be moved by this!!!

Fresh Word from Iraq

I got an email today from an old friend - Brian Edwards - He and his family used to attend CRCC. He is a retired police officer from New York City. Believe me when Brian speaks, you KNOW "He aint' from around here".... I always love his sweet family and their passion for the Lord.

He's serving in Iraq by training Iraqi police officers and assisting our troops as a consultant. He paints an awesome picture of the GREAT JOB our troops are doing and the amazing progress taking place.

A chaplain has just opened a store where soldiers can come in and get free supplies . Some of the stated needs are toiletries , snacks , games , inspirational  DVD's and books !!!   Also ,  Letters from school children , church announcements for all to pray for our soldiers, supporting families that have members serving in Iraq , Afghanistan and throughout the World !!!  If you choose , please forward this  !!!  Sometimes blessings are denied because the need hasn't been communicated."
